SR. Maintenance Engineer(Mechanical)

We are seeking an experienced SR. Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) with a B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and 6 to 15 years of experience in the agrochemical industry in Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical equipment, from erection and commissioning to ongoing maintenance, with a strong focus on project management, team supervision, and regulatory compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution : Oversee the erection, installation, and commissioning of various static and rotary utility equipment and their associated piping. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, consultants, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project implementation and timely completion.
• Piping & Design Review : Prepare piping BOQ (Bill of Quantities) from P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and verify AUTOCAD & PDMS generated equipment layouts, Piping GA's (General Arrangements) , and isometrics. Review and check key documents such as MDS, MR, Design Basis, PMS / VDS , and equipment drawings.
• Supervision & Reporting : Manage and supervise contractors, evaluate work schedules with the team, monitor progress, and prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management.
• Inspection & Quality Control : Inspect various equipment like reactors and tanks, and submit detailed reports to the Head of the Project.
• Planning & Budgeting : Plan, schedule, and monitor all activities to ensure projects are completed within the defined time, quality, cost, and budget parameters. This includes manpower planning and the preparation of the expense budget.
• Compliance & Verification : Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes and standards like ASTM, ASME B31.3, ASME 16.5, 16.11, and 16.19 . Verify bills and check measurements against tender conditions.
