Plant Availability Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor implementation activities to ensure optimum plant availability.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities timely.
- Conduct periodic equipment checks and plan manpower one day in advance for daily jobs.
- Properly plan shutdown jobs eliminating non-value-adding activities.
- Plan spare parts availability for shutdowns and day-to-day requirements.
- Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers to resolve critical equipment issues.
- Execute major shutdown jobs and plan contractor activities with appropriate service work orders.
- Coordinate closely with other departments and maintain daily equipment health records.
- Avoid idle running of equipment and address chronic problems through team discussions.
Breakdown Reduction
Analyze major and minor breakdowns and plan corrective measures accordingly.Ensure availability of critical spare parts and raise procurement indents timely.Plan and install standby critical equipment within budget limits.Execute preventive maintenance strictly as per schedules and equipment conditions.Shutdown Job Execution
Prepare prioritized job lists for shutdowns.Plan shutdown jobs and contractor services, issuing service work orders.Ensure spare parts and quality tools & tackles are planned and procured timely for efficient execution.Cost Control
Monitor and control spares, lubricants inventory, and manpower cost as per budget in mechanical maintenance.Reduce costs by minimizing breakdowns and avoiding idle equipment running.Optimize contract manpower usage and minimize overtime.Control handling costs by avoiding spillage.Monitor worker overtime closely and identify parameters to reduce maintenance costs.System Management
Implement improvement projects to reduce repetitive problems, breakdowns, or losses.Submit Kaizen, OPL, Good to Fine suggestions timely.Develop and sustain model areas within respective sections.Actively participate in KFA GRT meetings, contributing ideas on technology, innovation, and productivity.Conduct awareness programs for teams.Ensure compliance with IMS and system documentation for internal and external audits.Implement critical spares and consumables SOPs without deviations.Identify and rectify leakage or unsafe points, monitor emissions, and take corrective action.Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) & Sustainability
Ensure 100% compliance with all safety standards and recommendations in the area of responsibility.Educate teams on job hazards, control measures, and escalation protocols.Conduct scheduled safety rounds and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.Conduct daily Tool Box Talks before starting critical jobs along with SWP.Participate actively in safety trainings, committees, and events.Maintain good housekeeping, conserve power, prevent leakages of water, oil, air, etc., and report abnormalities.Adhere strictly to safety precautions on and off-site.Promote environmental sustainability and awareness to safeguard natural resources.Skills Required
