Job Description :
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Infrastructure Specialist with deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server Administration, Active Directory (on-prem & Azure Entra ID) and VMware virtualization technologies.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure environments with a keen focus on operational excellence, automation, and cloud modernization.
Key Responsibilities :
Microsoft Azure & Cloud Infrastructure :
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including VMs, NSGs, ASGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, NAT Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
- Implement Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Migrate for cloud / on-prem workload migrations.
- Set up Point-to-Site (P2S) and Site-to-Site (S2S) VPNs using Entra ID, certificates, and custom routing.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (CI / CD pipelines) to support infrastructure deployment and application releases.
- Manage Azure governance & security : Privileged Identity Management (PIM), access packages, entitlement management.
Windows Server & Active Directory :
Hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments (2008 2019) including GPO, DNS, DHCP, FSMO roles, and AD replication.Plan and execute server upgrades, patching (WSUS), decommissioning (~800+ servers), and security compliance hardening.Integrate on-prem Active Directory with Azure AD via Entra Connect, handling sync issues and object filtering (OUs / users / groups).Expert in BAU Operations : Authentication / authorization issues, domain controller management, and GPO planning for applications.VMware Virtualization :
Administer and optimize VMware ESXi environments, including HA, DRS, standard switches, vMotion / SvMotion, and RDM.Plan and configure Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies using protection groups.Perform day-to-day VM provisioning, resource optimization, and performance monitoring.ITIL Process Compliance :
Work within ITIL-based frameworks for Incident, Change, and Problem Management using tools such as ServiceNow.Lead infrastructure changes, participate in CAB meetings, and ensure RCA & documentation for high-priority issues.Professional Skills & Attributes :
Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams and managing stakeholder communications.Strong understanding of cloud security, identity governance, and infrastructure resilience.Ability to collaborate across application, security, and support teams to deliver projects on time.Effective documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.Required Certifications :
Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).Microsoft Certified : Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE Server 2003).Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preferred.(ref : hirist.tech)
