Job descriptionProvision, configure, and maintain enterprise storage arrays Create and allocate LUNs, volumes, and file shares based on application and user requirements. Implement and manage storage replication technologies (synchronous / asynchronous) for disaster recovery. Proactively monitor storage and backup infrastructure performance and capacity. Generate and analyze reports to forecast future needs. Recommend and implement optimizations to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Perform data deduplication, compression, and tiering strategies to optimize storage utilization. Ensure all backup and storage systems are hardened and configured according to security best practices. Maintain and test data retention policies to comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). Manage access controls and permissions for storage resources. Create and maintain detailed, accurate documentation for system configurations, architectures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and recovery runbooks. Develop and automate routine tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). Participate in the IT change management process. Serve as the final point of escalation for troubleshooting complex backup and storage-related issues. Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions. Provide on-call support as part of a rotation for critical issues outside business hours.

Key Responsibilities
Backup & Recovery Management
- Conduct regular, scheduled recovery tests of files, applications, databases, and full systems to validate data integrity and meet Recovery Time (RTO) and Recovery Point (RPO) objectives
- Administer cloud-based backup solutions and ensure efficient replication to disaster recovery sites.
- Perform daily monitoring of backup jobs, promptly investigating and resolving any failures or issues.
