Sales Operations Manager, Field Reporting & Data Integration
What You Will Do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role the Sales Operations Manager, Reporting & Data Integration will own the design and implementation of an integrated data solution across Amgen's field data and reporting platforms. This role is critical to ensuring that our field business metrics are defined, calculated, and displayed consistently across all systems and tools, driving trust in our data and insights. The role will also be a key driver of implementing Amgen's broader data and reporting strategy, designing and creating the capabilities needed to deliver scalable, consistent, and reliable insights to our commercial US field teams.
Responsibilities
Data Integration & Consistency
- Design and implement data integration processes across multiple reporting platforms
- Ensure metrics and KPIs are consistently defined, calculated, and displayed across all systems (e.g., Tableau, CRM, Incentive Comp reports)
- Closely partner with our Data Management team to integrate upstream data sources into reporting environments
Reporting Strategy & Governance
Support and drive the implementation of Amgen's US Field Reporting data and reporting strategyDefine governance standards and processes for metric definitions, data lineage, and reporting logicEstablish a 'single source of truth' for core business metrics to ensure stakeholder alignmentSupport our Field Data & Reporting capabilities, designing the capabilities, defining the standards, and evolving the capabilities to fit the business needsPlatform & System Enablement
Collaborate with Amgen technology teams to ensure data pipelines are robust, consistent, and scalableMonitor data flows and system health to proactively identify and resolve issuesPartner with platform teams to integrate new reporting tools as business needs evolveStakeholder Partnership
Work with our Field Effectiveness team to understand reporting needs and evolve our capabilities to fit those business needsTranslate business requirements into technical designs and specifications for data integrationAct as a trusted advisor for metric definitions and reporting standardsInnovation & Continuous Improvement

Basic Qualifications
Master's degree & 8+ years of experience in Bio / Pharmaceutical Analytics, Data, and Reporting or Data EngineeringBachelor's degree & 10+ years of experience in Bio / Pharmaceutical Analytics, Data, and Reporting or Data EngineeringPreferred Qualifications
Technical Expertise :Proficiency with data integration and ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx, Databricks, Mulesoft)Experience with reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.Experience with designing data and reporting capabilities and experiences to field based users at scale (serving 2000+ users)Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., Databricks, Redshift)Familiarity with cloud data environments and modern data architecturesAbility to identify areas for process and systems innovation and implement change that will enhance our overall field data and reporting capabilitiesData Governance & StrategyStrong knowledge of data governance, data modeling, data lineage, and metric definition best practices, particularly in context of the Bio / Pharmaceutical industryProven ability to design, implement, and enforce necessary processes to ensure data quality across platforms and systemsExposure to data quality tools and methodologies to ensure trusted, validated dataBusiness & Industry KnowledgeExperience working with commercial data sets in Bio / Pharmaceutical industry (e.g. sales, CRM, Patient Hub data, Field Force Effectiveness metrics)Strong understanding of Bio / Pharmaceutical sales operations processes, including reporting needs for field based sales teamsConsulting or industry experience in data strategy and reporting transformation projectsLeadership, Collaboration, and Other QualificationsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving business and technology stakeholdersStrong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders on data definitions and reporting standardsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a proactive mindset for resolving complex data issuesOutstanding communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business termsTrack record of driving change management and fostering adoption of new reporting tools, data process, or standardsExperience with designing simple, seamless, and effective User Experiences based on direct user feedback and understanding of a user's day-to-day workflowComfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and evolving environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountabilityWhat You Can Expect Of Us
