Qualification : ME / M.Tech / BE : Thermal / Heat Power / Mechanical / Automobile
Experience Range : 1 year - 3 years
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Performing electromagnetics, flow and thermal simulations using StarCCM+
- Conducting thermal assessments of E-motor components to predict heat dissipation, cooling patterns, and temperature distributions for electric motors
- Developing and validation of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models for thermal management of stator, rotor and end-windings.
- Performing simulation setup, post-processing, and validation against experimental data
- Collaborating with design engineers to propose and implement design modifications that enhance thermal performance and meet regulatory requirements.
- Engaging with global teams to align on product development, methodologies and best practices
Must Have :
Expertise in STAR-CCM+ for EMAG and CFD simulations related to E-motors.Strong understanding of electromagnetism, heat transfer mechanisms, and thermal interactions.Experience in simulating electric motor components : stator, rotor and end-winding.Proficiency in setting up and solving transient and steady-state thermal and flow simulations.Ability to define boundary conditions, select appropriate turbulence models, and perform mesh optimization for accurate results.Experience in working with CAD data and model building logics for component level simulation.Strong knowledge of automotive thermal management.Experience in debugging and optimizing simulation models for computational efficiency.Strong understanding of CFD theory and electric vehicle energy systems.Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.Good to Have :
Experience in scripting and automation for StarCCM+ to streamline simulation workflows.Familiarity with experimental validation techniques for CFD simulations.Experience in simulation methodology & process development.Automotive industry experience with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.Skills Required
