Mechanical Engineering Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Advise and support sales and customers in the selection of the correct equipment for specific applications
• Provide technical support and direction for existing product lines
• Ability to travel for customer training, presentations, machine / cycle optimization and support field installations
• Direct the work of process engineers, Technical Service engineer / manager to collect data for machine sizing
• Assist process engineers in their duties of installing customer molds to demonstrate machines for customer acceptance and sales demonstrations
• Become a subject matter expert with all Milacron control systems
• Design and perform testing as required for future sizing requirements
• Design and perform testing as required for future machine design criteria
• Complete and document machine / processing testing
• Ability to provide technical reports to customers, engineering and suppliers
• Communicate with sales force, customers, engineering and organization in a professional manner
• Ability to travel for trade shows for setup / teardown and during the show
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around moving equipment, fork trucks, cranes, heavy equipment, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours on short notice
