RESPONSIBILITIES :
Managing Air Freight operations commencing from obtaining bookings, till delivery at destinations and forwarding of pre-alerts. Comprehensive knowledge of information that goes into document preparation ie MAWBs, HAWBs, CANs, Dos, LABELS etc.
Verification of customer data from invoices / Shipping Bills and transfer of data to document. Obtain rectifications from Shippers / CHA in cases of discrepancies. Scrutiny, verifications and signing of HAWBs. Routing of MAWBs. Customer relations - handle queries and provide logistics solutions as required by customer.
Email communications and networking with international offices. Implementation of customized SOPs for key accounts- Walmart, Richline, Sears.
Knowledge of procedures related to special shipments : TIB, Carnet, Exhibition etc. Amendments to MAWBs and Manifest, familiarity with procedures of export shipments, including obtaining authorization from Shipper for bearing costs in relation to following non - standard situations : for eg Shipment not uplifted damage to package or seal Transhipment call back of shipment from overseas Bar code label interchange shipment forwarded to incorrect destination Airline bookings, relations with airlines, scrutiny of CSRs received from airlines. Reports and MIS as per Customer s and Management requirements.
