Job Role :

We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Specialist to lead the migration of Oracle databases to open-source solutions like PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, PL / SQL, and PL / pgSQL, along with experience handling database structures, scripting, and performance :

• Migrate Oracle databases to open-source databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Develop and manage schemas, tables, triggers, indexes, sequences, and constraints in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Analyze business requirements and design appropriate database models and schemas.
• Write and optimize database scripts, including stored functions, procedures, packages, and triggers.
• Provide optimal database design solutions to improve system quality and efficiency.
• Write ETL scripts, update SQL statements, and develop shell scripts for automation.
• Follow best practices for database design, security, and optimization.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for reference.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure seamless database migration and :
• Strong experience in Oracle DB Versions 11G, 12C, 19C with hands-on SQL and PL / SQL.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL Version 12+ with hands-on PL / pgSQL development.
• Proficiency in database migration tools like Ora2Pg, PGLoader, or any Azure migration tools (added advantage).
• Knowledge of additional tools : SQL-Plus, SQL Developer, PLSQL Developer, TOAD for Oracle (minimum two), pgAdmin, OmniDB.
• Basic understanding of Java, Shell Scripting, Jenkins (added advantage).
• Experience in the EDI domain (added advantage).
