Job Description :
- In-depth knowledge of engineering processes, engineering-to-manufacturing integration.
- Strong understanding of SAP ETM functionalities, including bills of materials (eBOMs), engineering change management, routing, and work center configurations.
- In depth knowledge of PLM system (Windchill) to SAP S / 4 via SAP PDMI
- Proficiency in SAP S / 4 HANA implementation methodologies, configuration, and customization.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Key Responsibilities :
1. Engineering-to-Manufacturing Integration :
Lead and manage the end-to-end integration of engineering data from PLM (Windchill) to SAP S / 4HANA via SAP PDMI.
Ensure synchronization of engineering bills of materials (eBOMs) with manufacturing BOMs (mBOMs) and associated routing and work center configurations.Define and streamline E2M data models, workflows, and change management processes.Facilitate effective collaboration between design engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams for seamless product data transfer.Ensure adherence to engineering standards, version control, and configuration management best practices.2. SAP Functional Configuration :
Design and configure SAP ETM (Engineering-to-Manufacturing) functionalities, including BOM management, routing, and engineering change management (ECM).Support the SAP S / 4HANA implementation lifecycle from blueprinting and configuration to testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.Develop functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, and interfaces. Work closely with ABAP, BASIS, and Integration teams to ensure technical feasibility and robust solution design.Manage data mapping, validation, and reconciliation between PLM and SAP systems.3. Process & Solution Optimization :
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement in engineering and manufacturing integration workflows.Propose and implement best practices for product structure management, change control, and release management. Drive standardization of engineering data processes across multiple business units or global sites.Conduct system health checks, root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures for integration issues.4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration :
Serve as the key functional liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and SAP teams.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate them into functional design documents.Provide training and user documentation for business process owners and end-users.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.In-depth knowledge of engineering processes, eBOM to mBOM transformation, routing, and work center setup.Strong expertise in SAP Engineering Change Management (ECM) and Material Master integration.Proven experience with PLM (Windchill) to SAP S / 4HANA integration using SAP PDMI.Solid understanding of SAP configuration, customization, and functional specification development.Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, technical SAP solutions.Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or downstream production systems is desirable.(ref : hirist.tech)
