WHAT'S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE

Partnering with our brands globally, and all key functional areas you will deliver technology that

enables the businesses to realise it's vision and strategy. You will understand relevant business

processes, suggest continuous improvements / new initiatives which you will then design,

build, test and deliver technical solutions to the end-user. This is a multi-faceted role that has

great opportunities to explore new technologies.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO

You will be responsible for :

Technology

• To Provide insight into how we can deliver the best technological solutions driving the most value for the wider organisation.
• Develop ideas, processes and technical solutions that improve our offering.
• Use technical expertise to deliver the right solutions and services for Pentland.
• Ensure the platforms have the right level of availability, aligned to the requirements of the solution and the agreed budget.
• Responsible for delivering all the service and project related elements of the technology area you own.
• Ensure the right technical governance is adopted and documentation is in place.
• Be a subject matter expert on LAN / WAN technologies recommending best of breed solutions to meet Pentland's ever-changing technology and physical landscape.
• Understand the importance of LAN perimeter security to protect Pentland's network and data integrity.
• Keep abreast of advances in communications technology such as SD-WAN, next generation
• firewalls and WAN optimisation.
