Institutional Lead Analyst – FMCG

Location : Fort, Mumbai

Experience Required : 6–8 years in equity research or sector-specific analysis, preferably in the FMCG sector ; strong buy-side and industry connections will be an added advantage

Sector Focus : FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)

CTC : Based on candidate's experience and interview performance

Educational Qualification : MBA – Finance or CA / CFA with NISM Capital Markets Certification

Roles & Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee research initiatives with an exclusive focus on the FMCG sector .

Conduct in-depth analysis of FMCG industry trends, consumption patterns, regulatory changes, rural-urban demand drivers, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.

Build and maintain comprehensive financial models for FMCG companies - including historical and projected balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements - along with DCF or residual income-based valuations.

Analyze key FMCG metrics such as volume / value growth, gross margins, operating leverage, distribution reach, input cost trends, and brand strength.

Formulate actionable investment recommendations based on rigorous company and sector analysis.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients such as asset managers, pension funds, and private equity firms with an interest in FMCG sector investments .

Mentor and guide junior analysts in developing sectoral knowledge and analytical capabilities specific to the Consumer Goods industry .
