Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing large-scale retail rollout projects for international clients, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the shopfitting and retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution : Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale retail rollouts, from initial brief to final handover.
  • Client Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for global clients, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Team Coordination : Manage cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget & Timeline Control : Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Quality Assurance : Uphold brand and quality standards across all deliverables, conducting regular site inspections and reviews.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
  • Reporting : Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, financial tracking, and post-project evaluations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience : 7–10 years in project management, preferably in shopfitting, retail fit-outs, or related industries.
  • Industry Knowledge : Proven track record managing large-scale rollouts for global brands.
  • Technical Background : Architectural or Interior Design qualification / background is a strong advantage.
  • Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Leadership : Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Organisational Skills : Highly detail-oriented with excellent planning and multitasking abilities.
  • Software Proficiency : Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp) is desirable.
