Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the organization's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. This role ensures that all facilities are well-maintained, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations, while supporting the needs of employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Manage facility budgets, including procurement of supplies and services.
- Supervise facility staff and external contractors / vendors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate office space allocation, moves, and renovations.
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and issues.
- Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor and manage facility security systems and protocols.
- Liaise with management and other departments to support operational needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).Proven experience in facility management or a similar role.Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.Strong organizational and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency with facility management software and MS Office Suite.Skills & Competencies
