As part of our Rimini Consult group, the Developer, ServiceNow (CAD), is responsible for building and enhancing core functions, workflows, and automations on the ServiceNow platform. This role emphasizes maximizing out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities and applying disciplined processes to develop customized solutions where necessary. Working closely with UI designers, developers, and architects, the developer ensures that back-end functionality supports seamless user experiences while aligning with business goals and best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and configure workflows, automations, and business rules using tools like Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Maximize the use of OOTB modules to meet requirements and only extend capabilities when absolutely necessary.
• Develop reusable components and configurations to ensure scalable and consistent solutions.
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems such as SAP, Oracle, and other ERP platforms.
• Use APIs and IntegrationHub to create seamless data exchanges across systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and consistency during migrations and integrations.
• Collaborate with UI / UX teams to align back-end workflows with front-end designs, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Work with architects and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions that meet business objectives.
• Guide development teams on adhering to best practices and maximizing platform capabilities.
• Develop and execute test cases for workflows, automations, and integrations to ensure high-quality performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to maintain reliability and uptime.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain adherence to standards and best practices.
• Continuously review and optimize existing configurations, workflows, and scripts for better performance and maintainability.
• Implement disciplined processes for custom development to minimize complexity and enhance scalability.
• Stay current on ServiceNow updates, new features, and industry best practices to enhance solutions and recommend improvements.
• Document all development efforts, including designs, workflows, and troubleshooting steps, for future reference and knowledge sharing.
