Position Overview

We are seeking a Game Developer with solid technical knowledge of web-based game development.

You will work closely with our game designer and content team to build interactive, 2D puzzle and assessment games for children, integrated directly into our web platform.

This role offers creative freedom, ownership, and the opportunity to help shape Spellzee’s upcoming game-based learning ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy 2D web-based educational games using HTML5, JavaScript, and Phaser (or similar frameworks) .
• Collaborate with the game designer to translate storyboards, art, and game mechanics into interactive playable experiences.
• Implement and optimize animations, sounds, physics, and collisions for smooth gameplay.
• Ensure games are responsive and optimized for browsers on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Integrate APIs and Firebase for saving scores, progress, and analytics.
• Maintain clean, modular, and reusable code structures for scalability.
• Debug, test, and continuously improve performance, usability, and user experience.
• Work with designers to integrate and optimize sprites, atlases, and other assets.
