About the role :
As a Game Designer, you will lead the creation of engaging gameplay systems and live features.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, refine, and deliver compelling player experiences.
This role requires both creative vision and data-driven design expertise to ship successful games.
Responsibilities :
Core Gameplay & Systems Design :
- Design and iterate on core game loops, progression systems, and meta-systems for casual and social multiplayer games.
- Create fun, accessible, and sticky player interactions that resonate with Indian and Middle Eastern players.
Creative Direction & Concepting :
Drive ideation of new game concepts in partnership with internal and external teams.Define the "fun factor" and ensure games deliver compelling player experiences from day one.Social & Live Systems :
Design audio-first social features, multiplayer systems, and community-driven mechanics.Collaborate with Live-Ops / Product teams to integrate events, rewards, and engagement hooks into the design.Rapid Iteration & Prototyping :
Work with engineers, artists, and producers to prototype ideas quickly.Collect and interpret playtest data, refining designs based on insights and feedback.Leadership & Collaboration :
Act as the creative anchor for the studio, mentoring junior designers and influencing Co-Dev partners.Contribute to the greenlight process, evaluating which ideas move forward.Qualification :
510 years of experience as a Game Designer (with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role).Proven track record of shipping casual, social, or multiplayer games with strong retention.Deep understanding of game mechanics, meta-progression, and player psychology.Strong creative vision with the ability to translate ideas into compelling gameplay systems.Familiarity with rapid prototyping workflows and data-driven iteration.Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.Passion for creating accessible, social, and culturally relevant games.(ref : hirist.tech)
