Job description
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting and managing Unix operating system infrastructure in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in a 24X7 environment with thorough knowledge of Unix operating system
  • Experience with installation / upgrading / configuring and troubleshooting OS
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Unix OS Internals, Shell / Bash scripting, Virtualization Technologies (ESXi)
  • Strong knowledge on server hardware (Client / DELL / Lenovo / IBM), Chassis blade configuration.
  • Reporting and Presentation skills - especially with regard to summarizing complicated technical issues and using MS-Excel efficiently
  • Identify automation opportunities in current delivery and should be able to utilize scripting knowledge to automate repetitive tasks
  • Basic installation and configuration knowledge of Databases Sybase / Oracle / PostgreSQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a high degree of credibility are imperative.
