Description :
We are seeking an experienced EM Ware Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize enterprise middleware environments that support critical business applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in middleware platforms, application servers, integration tools, and performance tuning ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability across the enterprise IT landscape.
This role is a blend of technical administration, performance engineering, and automation, requiring close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Middleware Administration & Configuration :
- Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, or equivalent.
- Manage enterprise application deployments, upgrades, and environment migrations.
- Configure clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms for high availability.
- Perform patch management, version control, and configuration backup.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization :
Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization using enterprise monitoring tools (OEM, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.)Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system operations.Analyze logs and metrics to detect and resolve performance bottlenecks.Integration & Automation :
Develop and maintain integrations between applications, databases, and third-party systems using APIs and messaging queues (JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Automate routine tasks like deployments, patching, and monitoring through scripting (Shell, Python, or Ansible).Ensure smooth integration of middleware with CI / CD pipelines.Security & Compliance :
Implement security best practices across middleware layers SSL / TLS, authentication, and access control.Conduct regular audits, apply security patches, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.Work with InfoSec teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and enforce hardening standards.Incident & Change Management :
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for change management, rollouts, and environment refreshes.Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.Collaboration & Support :
Work closely with developers, database administrators, and network engineers to ensure seamless application delivery.Provide technical guidance and support for middleware-related projects and initiatives.Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3- 6 years of experience as a Middleware or EM Ware Administrator.Hands-on expertise in one or more middleware platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, etc.)Strong knowledge of Unix / Linux environments, shell scripting, and automation tools.Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios, Prometheus, Dynatrace, etc.)Understanding of networking concepts, load balancers, and DNS configurations.Familiarity with database connectivity (JDBC, connection pools) and integration frameworks.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for performance and application issues.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with cloud-based middleware (AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Services, Kubernetes, etc.)Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or Terraform.Experience managing middleware for enterprise applications such as Oracle EBS, SAP, or custom Java apps.Certification in middleware or system administration (Oracle, IBM, Red Hat, AWS, etc.Soft Skills :
