Technical Consultant - SQL / ETL

Overview :

We are seeking a Technical Consultant with strong SQL expertise to support the development of ETL solutions. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for building stored procedures and associated database objects, which will form key components of an ETL pipeline orchestrated through Azure Data Factory (ADF).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, particularly in identifying gaps in specifications and asking the right clarifying questions to ensure the correct next steps are taken.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL stored procedures to support ETL processes.
• Create and maintain database objects such as tables, sequences, and other schema elements using DDL SQL.
• Contribute to the ETL pipeline, ensuring stored procedures integrate seamlessly with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Leverage Git version control to manage feature branches and follow established Git flow practices.
• Run and maintain existing Python tooling for supporting ETL development activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and specifications.
• Identify gaps or ambiguities in documentation / specifications and propose solutions or seek clarification as required.
• Ensure all solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well-documented.
