Key Responsibilities :
Customs Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to customs regulations and trade laws
Manage documentation for shipments (invoices, packing lists, licenses, etc.)
Resolve customs-related issues and maintain audit-ready records
Operational Oversight
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
Monitor shipment schedules, delays, and exceptions
Optimize logistics costs and improve turnaround times
Strategic Planning
Contribute to short- and long-term EXIM strategy
Analyze trade patterns and suggest improvements
Support budgeting and cost control initiatives
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with government agencies, customs brokers, and international partners
Provide customer service and updates to internal teams and clients
Lead and mentor operational staff to meet service levels
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of import / export laws and international logistics
Proficiency in ERP systems and trade documentation software
Excellent communication in English and local language
Attention to detail, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field
5–8 years of experience in export-import operations
Certifications in EXIM procedures or logistics preferred
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional travel for vendor meetings or customs coordination
