Job Purpose : The Specialist - Operations & Contract Management-C&I is responsible for executing demand forecasting, power scheduling, and operational analytics to support efficient grid management and regulatory compliance. The role assists in real-time data analysis, follows scheduling protocols, and performs deviation tracking to enhance power system efficiency. This position ensures accurate forecasting, scheduling precision, and compliance adherence, contributing to operational continuity and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

Specialist - Operations & Contract Management-C&I

Demand Forecasting & Demand-Side Management

Enhance forecast accuracy by integrating advanced analytics and real-time consumption data, reducing forecast deviations for reliable planning.

Optimize customer energy usage by implementing demand-side management programs that align consumption with grid capacity.

Improve planning efficiency by synchronizing forecast outputs with procurement and scheduling to ensure stable power delivery.

Power Scheduling & Shift Operations

Support power scheduling by coordinating with regulatory entities to maintain grid balance and minimize deviations.

Execute real-time monitoring of scheduled vs. actual power supply and implement corrective measures to reduce penalties.

Perform standardized data collection, reporting, and performance tracking to improve shift operations efficiency.

Demand-Supply Optimization & Market Analytics

Assist in analyzing market fluctuations, demand variations, and energy trends to support demand-supply optimization strategies.

Follow scheduling adjustments and operational recommendations to minimize imbalances and enhance grid reliability.

Execute data-driven insights using AI-based forecasting models and real-time energy consumption tracking tools.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

Support compliance processes by maintaining updated reports and documentation required by RLDCs and NLDCs.

Assist in audits, policy adherence, and regulatory documentation to ensure operational transparency.

Follow regulatory guidelines by tracking deviations, preparing compliance reports, and coordinating with stakeholders for settlement accuracy.

Risk Management & Operational Efficiency

Execute real-time monitoring of power supply deviations and assist in identifying potential risks.

Support the development of contingency measures for power disruptions to ensure business continuity.

Perform process evaluations to identify gaps and propose automation or digital solutions for efficiency improvements.

Process Improvement & Technical Support

Assist in integrating AI tools, automation, and advanced analytics to improve forecasting accuracy.

Follow data reporting protocols to ensure accurate and timely submission of power schedules and operational KPIs.

Support process optimization initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.

Budgeting & Cost Control Support

Perform financial tracking by maintaining updated records of operational expenditures and budget utilization.

Assist in cost monitoring by analyzing discrepancies between forecasted and actual expenditures.

Follow financial guidelines to identify areas for cost efficiencies in daily operations.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification :

BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

3-8 years of experience in power system planning, procurement, scheduling, and operations.
