SMT Service Engineer

Purpose of the Role

The incumbent is responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support SMT equipment in order to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and reliability of SMT equipment.

Technical Skills Required

• Basic understanding of SMT Equipements like Pick-and-place machines (e.g., Yamaha, Panasonic, Juki), Solder paste printers, Reflow ovens, AOI / X-ray inspection systems
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electronic issues
• Understanding control systems, sensors, motors, and pneumatic
• Familiarity with standard maintenance procedures and schedulers
• Understanding of basic PLC functions
• Schematics, wiring diagrams, user manuals, SOPs
• Basic IT / Networking skills

Job Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, screen printers, reflow ovens).

Perform routine preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.

Provide technical support and training to machine operators and engineers.

Assist with process improvement for better efficiency, quality, and yield.

Maintain service logs and generate reports for each service or issue handled.

Education Qualification : Diploma / BTech (Electronics or Electrical) or equivalent, BSc computer science , Diploma in computer science .

Experience - 1 to 6 Years

Reporting location : Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Pune, Chennai, Manesar, Bangalore etc.,

Work location PAN India basis subject to project location & schedule. The schedule depends on size of project varying from 2 weeks to 3 month
