Position Description
The Program Manager (PM) in Delhi will report to the Director of State Programs and serve
as the central team & primary point of contact for interventions in Haryana. This role
requires strong leadership to ensure successful project implementation and stakeholder
management.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Project Management :
1. Act as the single point of contact for critical project decisions across states.
2. Manage stakeholders, including senior officials, funders, partners, and state governments to achieve project outcomes.
3. Monitor project timelines, progress, risks, dependencies, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
4. Develop strategic and short-term project plans, utilizing tools for monitoring progress
and managing escalations.
Cross-functional Support :
1. Lead collaboration across teams to ensure sufficient backend support and internal
alignment within Haryana initiatives.
2. Analyze data to identify trends across multiple state programs, contributing to
organizational learning.
3. Document program activities, monitor data, develop case studies, and compile
evidence of outcomes.
4. Review expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets and implement an effective
Monitoring and Evaluation system in collaboration with the M&E team.
Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience :
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. 8-10 years of experience in program management, preferably with exposure to managing projects involving senior government functionaries.
Skills :
1. Proficient in data monitoring and analysis, with a strong ability to interpret and utilize
data to inform decision-making.
2. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and execute
strategic and short-term project plans.
3. Strong communication skills in both English and Hindi, including the ability to
effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
Abilities :
1. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex organizational
landscapes.
2. Capacity to work under pressure with tight timelines, adapt to changing project
requirements, and ensure timely deliverables.
3. Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices, particularly
in the context of education and non-profit sectors.
