Job Summary
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Revenue Accounting team, within an exciting and dynamic global technology provider. The Specialist- Accounting is a key position in the accounting department tasked with ensuring transactions are accounted for correctly and in accordance with Bottomline s policies. Executing systems and processes effectively to ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting.
Job Responsibilities :
Understanding and applying the core revenue accounting principles to determine the correct revenue treatment, in accordance with Bottomline s policies.Oversight of certain other accounting areas that are directly impacted by revenue, such as third-party costs.Assist in application of technical accounting policies such as fair value analysis and estimated customer life analysis.Key participation in monthly and quarterly closes, including ownership of standard journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules.Assist with audit preparation and questions from the auditors.Projects related to process improvement initiatives.Education, skill Knowledge requirements
Required
Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, CMA, CPAConfident in using business systems and process (Excel, CRM, ERP, etc)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skillsStrong attention to detail and able to consistently and timely produce quality, accurate workAbility to work independently, and also to work in a collaborative, team environment.Preferred (not essential) :
5+ years experience in accounting department working preferably within the technology sector.Experience working with the following software or systems; Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce CRM system, and / or RevproInvolvement in critical projects or process improvement.Further education or professional qualificationFamiliarity or general understanding of revenue recognition and internal controlsSkills Required
