Engineering Manager (Cloud)

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; degree and / or significant coursework in computer science, or similar engineering program
• 3-5 years of professional experience preferred; Minimum of 5 years of relevant management / supervisory experience, managing teams of software engineering professionals. Exceptional management skills and previous experience managing large teams across different time zones preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and their application in product development is essential. This includes knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
• Previous experience overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including strategy development, roadmap planning, and feature prioritization.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 and / or SOC2 a plus
• AWS Cloud Practitioner; AWS Solutions Architect; AWS Developer; AWS SysOps Administrator; AWS DevOps Engineer; Developing Solutions for Azure; GCP Cloud Developer; Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate certifications desired, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills for effectively liaising with stakeholders, including executives, customers, and development teams. This includes the ability to articulate product strategies, negotiate priorities, and handle feedback effectively.
• Strong work ethic; willingness to work additional hours to meet business need and coordinate with colleagues globally
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with both IT and non-IT colleagues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail; ability to manage multiple work streams and correctly prioritize
