We are seeking a proactive Software Engineering Manager to lead a skilled engineering team in building scalable and reliable software. This is a player-coach position, where youll guide the team while actively contributing to technical solutions. Technical Leadership :
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-quality software systems.
- Actively participate in coding and provide technical mentorship to team members.
- Review code regularly and promote best practices for code quality, testing, and DevOps.
- Collaborate with tech leads and product teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Project Delivery :
Work with project managers to plan, track, and deliver projects successfully.Identify technical and process challenges and implement solutions proactively.Establish and monitor engineering metrics to improve delivery efficiency and system stability.Conduct post-incident analysis and root cause reviews to drive continuous improvement.Team Management :
Guide and mentor engineers to support their technical development and career growth.Conduct 1 : 1 meetings, provide feedback, and perform performance reviews.Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members effectively.Build a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.Requirements : Experience :
10-15 years of professional software development experience, with 8+ years hands-on coding.2+ years in a leadership role, formally or informally.Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving technical initiatives.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA is a plus).Technical Skills :
Proficiency in at least one backend language : Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools.Leadership & Soft Skills :
