Executive Assistant to the CEO
Role Summary
MERI Startup Hub is seeking a highly organized, professional, and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role is vital for optimizing the CEO's productivity, managing key communications, and ensuring the smooth daily function of the executive office in a hybrid work environment. The candidate must be commutable to the main office for scheduled in-office days and required meetings.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Assistant will serve as the CEO's right hand, managing administrative and project-based tasks, including :
- Strategic Research and Analysis : Conduct targeted market research and synthesize data on industry trends and competitor activities to inform the CEO's strategic decision-making.
- Calendar and Schedule Management : Proactively manage complex calendars, schedules, and appointments for the CEO and other executives, coordinating across multiple time zones and prioritizing urgent matters.
- Communications : Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external parties. This includes professionally screening phone calls, emails, and correspondence, drafting replies, and routing communications to the appropriate staff members.
- Document and Presentation Preparation : Prepare, organize, and edit high-level documents, presentations, reports, and other materials required for board meetings, investor pitches, and internal strategic reviews.
- Meeting Coordination and Record-Keeping : Coordinate logistics for meetings (virtual and in-person), attend and record meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up on decisions.
- Information Management : Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism, maintaining security of executive files and records.
- Operational Support : Assist with special projects, research tasks, and event planning (e.g., investor demos, internal offsites) as directed by the CEO.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (required).2+ years of experience supporting C-level or senior executives, preferably within the technology, startup, or venture capital sectors.Essential Skills
