Prof K. R Sundararajan, a well-known educationalist established the I.I.E.T society in 1947. The total area of 14 acres purchased with enormous hardship was donated to the IIET Society to further the cause of quality education and has ensured this uninterrupted since 1951. Meenakshi Sundararajan Group of Institutions currently comprises of : -
1. Meenakshi College For Women established in 1975 & affiliated to University of Madras offering Arts & Science programs with about 3000 plus students.
2. Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College established in 2001 & affiliated to Anna University offering engineering programs with about 2000 plus students.
3. Meenakshi Sundararajan School of Management established in 2000 & affiliated to University of Madras offering MBA programs with about 120 plus students.
4. The NEST School established in 2022 offering IB (International Baccalaureate) & CAIE (Cambridge) boards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Culture Transformation & Change Leadership
Lead the transition to a highly professional, ethical, and accountable work environment across all institutions.
Establish a culture of performance, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Create policies, communication systems, and engagement initiatives that promote trust, respect, and clarity.
Build alignment across teams with consistent expectations, norms, and behaviors.
2. HR Strategy & Institutional Alignment
Develop a unified HR strategy across all campus institutions while respecting the unique needs of each.
Ensure HR processes, policies, and systems are modern, transparent, and compliant.
Partner with academic and administrative heads to structure teams and streamline workflows.
3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Build a strong pipeline of high-quality educators, administrators, and leadership talent.
Implement structured hiring practices, competency-based interviews, and selection frameworks.
Develop long-term workforce plans that support institutional growth and expansion.
4. Performance Management & Accountability Systems
Design and implement a robust performance management framework with clear KRA / KPI expectations.
Create systems for feedback, appraisals, performance improvement, and recognition.
Ensure consistent standards of accountability across all levels and institutions.
5. Learning, Development & Capability Building
Establish a professional development ecosystem for all staff—faculty, academic leaders, and non-teaching teams.
Introduce leadership development programs and upskilling pathways.
Strengthen facilitator and staff competencies to meet global academic and operational benchmarks.
6. Employee Relations & Compliance
Foster healthy employee relations through transparent and fair HR practices.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and institutional policies.
Lead conflict resolution, grievance redressal, and ethical conduct initiatives.
7. HR Operations Excellence
Streamline HR operations including onboarding, payroll, attendance, contracts, and documentation.
Introduce HR technology platforms (HRMS, performance tools, digital records).
Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and a high-quality employee experience.
Qualifications & Experience
12–20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally with exposure to education, large campus environments, or multi-institution setups.
Proven experience driving culture transformation and building professional, high-performance work environments.
Strong understanding of HR strategy, organizational design, talent management, and compliance.
Exceptional communication, people skills, and the ability to influence at all levels.
Master’s degree in HR, Business Management, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
