The Chulha Tales Kitchens LLP is a fast-growing pan-India F&B and hospitality brand, redefining how India experiences food by blending authentic Indian regional cuisines with modern QSR and resort-style concepts. We believe in combining culinary craftsmanship with technology and AI-driven business intelligence, enabling data-backed decisions in menu innovation, consumer analytics, and operational efficiency.

As we expand across cities, we are building a robust foundation in people, process, and performance — and we're inviting an experienced HR Professional who can architect and lead our HR strategy from inception through scale. This role goes beyond traditional HR — it's a strategic leadership position that integrates people management with brand vision, operations, compliance, and digital transformation.

Role Overview

The Senior HR Professional will serve as a strategic business partner to the Founding Partners, driving HR excellence across all verticals — QSR outlets, cloud kitchens, resort projects, and administrative headquarters. You'll be responsible for building the HR system from the ground up, ensuring every hiring, policy, and cultural initiative supports long-term scalability, compliance, and profitability. You'll also collaborate with our AI & Operations Consultants to integrate predictive HR analytics, workforce forecasting, and digital HR automation tools, helping us stay ahead in the evolving food-tech and hospitality landscape.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic HR Planning & Organizational Design

  • Build and implement the full HR structure (corporate + outlet hierarchy).
  • Partner with management to forecast manpower needs for kitchens, delivery operations, admin, and marketing.
  • Design job descriptions, growth paths, and performance frameworks aligned with brand objectives.
  • Establish workforce planning dashboards and manpower cost-to-revenue analytics.

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for chefs, kitchen staff, F&B consultants, operations heads, marketing leads, and AI professionals.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, interview matrices, and background verification (BGV) protocols.
  • Create an internal referral and incentive program to ensure faster and reliable hiring.
  • 3. HR Policies, Governance & Compliance

  • Draft HR handbooks, employee codes, POSH policy, leave & attendance guidelines, and disciplinary frameworks.
  • Ensure full compliance under Shops & Establishments Act, EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, FSSAI workforce hygiene standards, and POSH and labour law regulations.
  • Conduct internal HR audits and maintain statutory registers.
  • 4. Payroll, Attendance & Performance Management

  • Implement a centralized HRMS (Zoho People, GreytHR, or equivalent).
  • Establish clear payroll timelines, attendance tracking, and overtime validation.
  • Design appraisal systems, KRA-linked increments, and 30 / 60 / 90-day evaluation cycles.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability across all HR processes.
  • 5. Learning, Development & Employee Engagement

  • Introduce skill development and behavioral training for kitchen, service, and operations teams.
  • Plan periodic workshops on hygiene, POS, leadership, and conflict management.
  • Launch employee recognition, incentive, and retention programs.
  • Build a positive culture rooted in ownership, ethics, and service excellence.
  • 6. AI & Digital HR Integration

  • Collaborate with the AI Consultant to develop predictive manpower analytics.
  • Automate recruitment dashboards, attrition analysis, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Use analytics to predict future hiring needs and measure team productivity.
  • 7. Multi-City Expansion HR Rollout

  • Standardize HR documentation for outlet and franchise rollouts.
  • Conduct HR due diligence for new properties.
  • Manage onboarding and induction for cross-location teams.
  • Maintain centralized HR reporting for all units.
  • 8. Vendor & Consultant Coordination

  • Liaise with background check agencies, compliance vendors, payroll partners, and training consultants.
  • Ensure professional documentation and transparent payment schedules.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years of hands-on HR experience in F&B / QSR / Retail / Hospitality.
  • Proven ability to build HR systems and teams from scratch.
  • Experience in policy drafting, HR audits, payroll setup, and compliance handling.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with on-ground operational execution.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics, AI tools, and automation dashboards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Month 3–4 : Payroll, HRMS integration, and compliance readiness.
  • Month 5–6 : Training, performance evaluation, and multi-location rollout framework.
