Business Manager LFR
Role Purpose
The Business Manager - LFR will own the P&L responsibility for the Large Format Retail business (Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Central, and regional multi-chain retailers). The role will ensure profitable growth by managing business partner relationships, merchandising, retail sales operations, and in-store staff performance.
This role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who can balance B2B partner management with B2C in-store execution, ensuring the brand delivers on sales, profitability, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L Ownership & Business Growth
- Full ownership of sales and profitability for the LFR business.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans (AOP) for the LFR channel.
- Optimize trade terms, margins, and profitability with business partners.
2. Business Partner Management
Build and strengthen relationships with LFR partners at CXO / Buying Head level.Negotiate listings, space, visibility, and promotions with partners.Ensure adherence to joint business plans (JBP) and quarterly reviews with key accounts.3. Merchandising & Assortment
Drive seasonal merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment for LFR accounts.Monitor sell-through, ageing, and markdowns; plan corrective actions with buying & merchandising teams.Work closely with VM & MarCom teams for impactful in-store visibility and promotions.4. Sales Operations & Staff Management
Lead and monitor a team of promoters, in-store staff, and merchandisers deployed across LFR doors.Ensure store staff productivity through training, motivation, and incentive programs.Drive retail KPIs : SSPD, conversion, ASP, and NPS.5. Channel Marketing & Promotions
Plan and execute LFR-exclusive promotions, offers, and marketing activations.Track ROI of promotions and campaigns run with partners.Leverage co-op marketing budgets with partners for maximum visibility.6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with supply chain to ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) deliveries to partners.Collaborate with finance for claims, reconciliations, and credit control.Align with HR for promoter hiring and training plans.Candidate Profile
5-7years of experience in Retail / Apparel / Lifestyle industry, with proven success in managing Large Format Retail (LFR) accounts.Strong understanding of B2B2C business models, joint business planning, and trade negotiations.Track record of P&L management and delivering profitable growth.Strong experience in merchandising, retail operations, and in-store promoter management.Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills.MBA / Master's in Retail / Fashion Management from reputed institute preferred(ref : iimjobs.com)
