Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for 3D modelling of motor parts and assemblies in UGNX.
- Creation of 2D part drawings and assembly drawings of traction motor.
- Handling the workflows in Teamcenter.
- Co-ordinate with cross functional teams like component development, transmission, vehicle integration etc... and resolve DFM / DFA comments.
- Get motor parts made in collaboration with Prototype team.
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
- Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.
Technical / Functional Domain
Knowledge of automotive drive train and components in EV and HEV drivetrain.Strong knowledge of the mechanical design of motors & good understanding of construction / manufacturing methods of electric machines. Emphasis on documentation.Knowledge of motor assembly, winding techniques, and materials. Knowledge of electric machine testing methods & standards. Knowledge of basic design parameters of electric motors, raw material, practical production problems, and different application requirements of permanent magnet motors, quality, and process.Strong knowledge of the mechanical design of motors & good understanding of construction / manufacturing methods of electric machines.Software skills : UGNX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Teamcenter.Skills Required
