Job Title : Video Editor

Department : Media & Creative - Xylem Digital Marketing

Location : Head Office, Kozhikode, Kerala

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our Xylem Digital

Marketing team in Kozhikode. This role involves editing raw footage into engaging and polished videos,

ensuring high-quality output that aligns with project goals and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

Edit raw footage into polished videos that meet project requirements and brand

guidelines.

Trim and arrange footage segments to create a coherent and compelling sequence.

Apply transitions, effects, graphics, and text overlays as required.

Ensure logical sequencing, smooth flow, and professional presentation of videos.

2. Collaboration with Team

Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project

scope and deliverables.

Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts.

Provide input during pre-production and production phases to enhance final output

quality.

3. Post-Production Tasks

Review shooting scripts and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scene

value and continuity.

Create both rough and final cuts for review and approval.

Enhance audio quality, synchronize sound and visuals, and mix audio tracks.

Seamlessly integrate graphics, animations, and effects into final videos.

4. Quality Control

Perform thorough quality checks on videos to ensure they meet technical and creative

standards.

Identify and correct any errors, inconsistencies, or visual issues.

Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and software advancements.

5. Project Management

Manage and organize digital assets, raw footage, and media libraries efficiently.

Meet project deadlines and manage multiple editing assignments simultaneously.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on project progress,

revisions, and any challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Communication, or related field (or equivalent

experience).

Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects,

or equivalent tools.

Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings.

Knowledge of audio mixing, color correction, and motion graphics is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
