- Teaching and mentoring : Instruct students on principles and techniques of architectural design, often through lectures, studio work, and critiques. Supervise undergraduate and graduate students and their research projects.
- Research and scholarship : Conduct and publish original research that advances the field of architecture. Maintain an active program of scholarly or creative activity.
- Curriculum and departmental service : Participate in departmental governance, help develop and revise curriculum, and contribute to the academic program's growth.
- Professional engagement : Engage with the architectural community, industry stakeholders, and professional organizations to establish partnerships and enhance educational opportunities.
- Course delivery : Design and deliver comprehensive courses, often incorporating contemporary practices, sustainability, and new technologies. Prepare course materials like syllabi, assignments, and handouts.
