BMC Mainframe Services (BMS) has an exciting opportunity to grow our team in India. We are forecasting BMS to be the largest Services unit within BMC and are looking for the right partners to help develop and grow our India based practice.

The ideal partner can be located either at Pune or Bangalore and must have consultants available to travel when necessary.

As an experienced Mainframe Consultant Partner, you will be part of a team that has been acknowledged as an industry leader. You will help our clients grow their business by providing install, configuration, and conversion work for the BMC products.

• 8+ relevant years mainframe technical experience as a z / OS Systems Programmer :
• working in Services or projects, preferably Customer facing in a professional consultative capacity
• working as Source Code Management administrator
• experience in z / OS Operating System and Program Product installs, SYSPLEX, system configurations, upgrades, user mods / exits, in large complex environments. Strong experience with SMP / e, testing and deployment strategies, problem determination and resolution
• Strong experience in TSO, ISPF, JCL, REXX, CLIST
• Consultative skills with customers when driving deliverables and setting priorities
• A self-starter, willing to work without a net with a proven ability to meet assigned timelines with high quality, complete deliverables in unsupervised, often remote, situations
• Willingness to mentor, share ideas and knowledge with other colleagues promoting best practices
• Demonstrated success in building key relationships in the past with Sales, Technical Support, Application Teams and Product Engineering

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
