Varahe Analytics - Senior System Engineer - Cloud Technologies

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organizations IT systems and infrastructure.

You will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems and support IT initiatives across departments.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in system administration, virtualization, network infrastructure, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows / Linux-based server infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and security across all critical infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange / Office 365.
• Configure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Perform patch management, OS upgrades, and routine system maintenance.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including VM provisioning, networking, and cost optimization.
• Work with security teams to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Document systems and processes clearly and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, application, DevOps, security) to support business and IT projects.
• Act as a technical mentor and provide Level 2 / 3 support to junior system admins or service desk engineers.

Required Qualifications :

1. Windows Server (2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022)

2. Linux / Unix environments (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS)

3. Virtualization technologies : VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or equivalent

4. Scripting languages : PowerShell, Bash, Python
