About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Junior AWS Engineer to join Healthcare Services technical team. As we prepare for the critical go-live of our Booking System in January, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring system stability, and managing access security. This is a dynamic role that combines cloud operations, security management, and integration development. You will work directly from our office, collaborating with internal teams and external product vendors (specifically for our Diagnostics Lab module).
Role Description
1. Infrastructure Maintenance & Support (Go-Live Focus)
- Monitor and maintain the health of AWS resources (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC) to support the high-availability requirements of the Ambulance Booking System.
- Provide immediate L1 / L2 infrastructure troubleshooting during the critical "Go-Live" phase in January.
- Assist in setting up monitoring alarms and logs (CloudWatch) to detect issues before they impact operations.
2. IAM & Security Management
Take ownership of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).Create, manage, and audit user policies and roles for various stakeholders, ensuring the principle of least privilege.User Groups include : Drivers, End Users, CRM Executives, Management Members, and Operations / Accounting staff.Ensure secure credential management for application-level access.3. Vendor Coordination & Integration
Act as the primary infrastructure point of contact for our product vendor, Dr.HMS.Support the deployment of the Dr.HMS Diagnostics Lab module within our AWS environment.Facilitate infrastructure requirements for Sanity Testing and Beta Testing of the vendor module.4. API & Development Tasks
Support the technical team in integrating APIs with external Lab Service Providers.Key Development Task : Design and develop the integration for a WhatsApp Business API solution to facilitate automated booking updates and communication.Required Technical Skills
AWS Core Services : Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and specifically IAM (Roles, Policies, Groups).Networking : Understanding of VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, and API Gateways.Development / Scripting : Proficiency in a scripting language (Python or Node.Js) is mandatory for the WhatsApp API integration.API Knowledge : Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integration testing.Soft Skills & Competencies
Vendor Liaison : Ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to external vendors.Problem Solving : Quick thinker capable of handling pressure during live product launches.Discipline : Punctual and dedicated to working on-site during office hours.Nice to Have (Bonus)
Experience in the Healthcare / HealthTech domain.Knowledge of HIPAA compliance or data privacy standards.Basic familiarity with CI / CD pipelines.Job Title : Junior AWS Cloud Engineer
