Test Engineer - Network Protocols

Key Responsibilities :

• Hands-on Testing : Perform comprehensive, hands-on testing of L3 networking protocols on switches and routers.
• Protocol Validation : Test and validate a variety of critical network protocols, including TCP / IP, ARP, DHCP, QoS, IPSec, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VRRP, and STP.
• Quality Assurance : Develop and execute detailed test plans, create and manage test cases, and log defects with clear, concise steps.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Release Management : Participate in release activities and ensure all quality deliverables are met.
• Technical Environment : Work proficiently in a Linux environment for testing and debugging tasks.
• Automation (Optional) : Utilize Python for automation or scripting tasks to improve testing Skills & Qualifications :
• Experience : Proven experience in testing L3 networking protocols.
• Protocol Knowledge : Strong, hands-on knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and TCP / IP.
• Technical Skills : Experience with a Linux environment for testing and debugging.
• Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communication : Strong communication skills for logging defects and collaborating with cross-functional teams
