Job description

Chief Business Officer (CBO)

Leads sales, marketing, distribution, investor engagement and digital initiatives to drive growth and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute business growth strategy.
  • Oversee marketing and sales teams.
  • Drive digital initiatives and client lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with product and investment teams on go-to-market.

Requirements :

  • MBA or equivalent in Business / Finance.
  • 15+ years in AMC or investment industry leadership.
  • Experience scaling businesses and partnerships.

    • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • AUM growth rate.
  • Client retention and satisfaction (NPS).
  • Channel partner expansion.
  • Marketing ROI and digital conversion.

    • Reporting Line :

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Govern business risks, including distribution and misselling.
  • Identify and escalate early warning signals and fraud in sales.
  • Provide input to RO / CEO on distribution risk metrics and appetite.
  • Update and test risk registers for sales / marketing-related controls.
  • Report mis-selling cases, negative inspection remarks, and investor suitability breaches.
  • Govern distribution risks, detect mis-selling, and analyze investor portfolio risk appetite.
  • Perform periodic RCSA testing, track escalation of frauds, and ensure risk reports are shared with CEO.
