Key responsibilities

Design and modeling : Design hydraulic systems such as water supply networks drainage systems irrigation and flood control structures. Use specialized software like CAD for design and hydraulic modeling to analyze fluid flow pressure and performance.

Analysis and research : Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to assess water resource data predict flood risks and understand the impacts of climate change.

Project management : Manage projects from conception to completion including preparing technical reports specifications and budgets. Coordinate with project managers clients and other engineering disciplines.

Construction and maintenance : Oversee the construction of hydraulic infrastructure and develop maintenance schedules to ensure the long-term functionality of systems.

Compliance : Ensure all designs and projects comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Problem-solving : Use expertise in fluid mechanics and engineering principles to develop efficient and sustainable solutions for water-related issues.

Required skills and qualifications

Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics hydrology and hydraulics.

Proficiency in CAD and hydraulic design software.
