Role Overview

We seek two (2) Junior Credit Underwriters to join our credit team, one focusing on Travel Now Pay Later (TNPL) and the other on Business Loan (BL) underwriting. Both roles require keen analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong adherence to credit policies to evaluate loan applications effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• For TNPL : Review and evaluate travel-based loan applications meticulously by verifying all customer-submitted KYC documents (such as Aadhaar, PAN, and address proof) and income proofs (salary slips, bank statements, etc.). Assess the borrower's credit risk profile considering credit scores, repayment history, and eligibility against product criteria. Ensure that loan proposals comply with internal underwriting guidelines and flag any inconsistencies or potential fraud.
• For Business Loan : Perform comprehensive analysis of business loan applications by scrutinizing financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet), GST returns, bank statements, and other financial documents. Evaluate the creditworthiness of the business by assessing cash flow, repayment capacity, credit history, and debt obligations. Ensure all applications meet internal policy and regulatory compliance before underwriting decisions.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the underwriting process. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all application assessments, decisions, and communication. Identify and escalate any risks, irregularities, or red flags promptly to senior credit underwriters or management.
• Work closely with the sales, operations, and verification teams to clarify application details, expedite processing, and facilitate timely credit decisions, contributing to a balanced and high-quality loan portfolio.
