VP, Derivatives Sales & Trading

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Derivatives Sales Trader

to join our dynamic trading desk. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of equity and derivative products, exceptional execution capabilities, and the ability to manage complex client orders efficiently. This role involves real-time market analysis, seamless order execution, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards, all while contributing to revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Trade Execution & Order Management

Execute client orders across equity derivatives, index futures / options, and related instruments with accuracy and speed.

Manage large and complex order flows to minimize market impact and ensure optimal execution.

Monitor real-time market conditions, including price movement, liquidity, and order book depth, to achieve best execution outcomes.

Handle block deals and coordinate effectively with counterparties to ensure timely and smooth settlements.

Proficient in using trading platforms such as

Omnesys

and

GreekSoft

Client & Strategy Management

Manage multiple client orders, instruments, and strategies simultaneously without compromising execution quality.

Understand and analyze client trading behavior to provide tailored execution strategies and enhance client satisfaction.

Identify client needs and gaps and proactively work to provide effective solutions.

Market Intelligence & Risk Compliance

Stay updated with market developments, trading trends, and macroeconomic indicators to inform trading decisions.

Ensure adherence to all internal risk controls, exchange regulations, and compliance guidelines.

Monitor risk parameters and escalate any breaches in a timely manner.

Business Development

Drive business growth through strong client engagement and upselling of relevant products.

Achieve sales and revenue targets, maintaining a healthy product mix.

Contribute to developing and implementing strategies to grow the equity derivatives segment.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong knowledge of equity and derivative products, including options and futures.

In-depth understanding of the Indian equity markets.

Certification in Equity and Derivatives (NISM) is mandatory.

Hands-on experience with trading systems, preferably Omnesys and GreekSoft.

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders.

Ability to multitask in a high-paced trading environment.

Passion for markets and a continuous learning mindset.

Strong decision-making skills with a focus on risk-adjusted returns.

Qualification :

Graduation / MBA / Economics, Business, or related field

Experience :

3-5years of experience in derivatives execution trading at a broking firm, investment bank or proprietary desk.
