In this vital role the Sales Operations Manager, Field Data & Reporting – Rep Alerts / Suggestions Program Analyst will play a key role in establishing and supporting Amgen’s Rep Alerts / Suggestions program. This capability, which involves multiple teams across multiple functions to enable, leverages business rules and advanced data science models to analyze large amounts of information to generate actionable insights for our US field sales representatives. By ensuring timely delivery of Rep Alerts / Suggestions, this capability directly enables field teams to prioritize customer engagements, focus on the right topics, and ultimately improve productivity and impact.ResponsibilitiesProgram ManagementSupport the ongoing management and execution of Amgen’s Rep Alerts / Suggestions programLead the cross-functional team to design, implement, and operationalize the Rep Alerts / Suggestions capabilityOversee cadence and delivery of Rep Alerts / Suggestions to US field sales teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and business relevanceEvaluate and implement new approaches (AI / ML, automation, personalization) to improve the quality of Rep Alerts / SuggestionsDrive continuous improvements in the end-to-end process, from data ingestion to field deliveryBenchmark Amgen’s capabilities against industry best practicesField Enablement & AdoptionPartner with Field Effectiveness and Sales Leadership to develop communication and training materials to ensure field representatives understand and adopt Rep Alerts / Suggestions effectivelyGather feedback from field users to continuously improve relevance, usability, and impact of Rep Alerts / SuggestionsGovernance & ComplianceMaintain documentation of business rules, model assumptions, and decision logic underlying Rep Alerts / SuggestionsEnsure compliance with Amgen’s compliance, legal, and data privacy requirementsDevelop and maintain the standards for the Rep Alerts / Suggestions capabilityMeasuring Value & Business ImpactDefine and execute methodologies to measure the business value of Rep Alerts / Suggestions for a brandQuantify impact through KPIs such as field adoption, engagement effectiveness, sales impact, etc.Provide insights and recommendations to Sales Leadership on maximizing the impact of the Rep Alerts / SuggestionsCross-Functional Alignment, Collaboration, & RACI OwnershipDevelop, maintain, and enforce the RACI framework and the capability playbook to drive clarity of roles and responsibilities across functionsAct as a bridge between Analytics, Data Management, Decision Sciences, Field Excellence, Technology, and Business Stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of Rep Alerts / SuggestionsUse the RACI to proactively identify ownership gaps, streamline decision-making, and support efficient and scalable planning and executionAlign business requirements with technical solutions, balancing scalability, performance, supportability, and user experienceWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Field Data & Reporting professional we seek has these qualifications.Basic QualificationsMaster’s degree & 8+ years of experience in Bio / Pharmaceutical Analytics, Data, and ReportingBachelor’s degree & 10+ years of experience in Bio / Pharmaceutical Analytics, Data, and ReportingPreferred QualificationsTechnical ExpertiseExperience with data-drive insights delivery capabilitiesExperience with overseeing complex systems, integrations, and processes and being able to understand how a capability works end-to-endStrong problem solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and mobilize teams to resolve problems within a complex environmentExperience with industry standard field-facing tools such as CRM (e.G. Veeva) and Alignment and Roster management systems / dataProgram Management and Governance : Proven ability to establish and manage structured programs in a complex, cross-functional environment Experience building and maintaining RACI frameworks to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability across stakeholdersStrong track record of managing program roadmaps, governance processes, and cross-team dependenciesExperience driving change management and securing field adoption of new capabilitiesMeasuring Business ImpactDemonstrated ability to measure and communicate the value of analytics / insight programs at a brand or enterprise levelExperience defining and tracking KPIs such as adoption rates, engagement effectiveness, sales impact, and ROIAbility to make data-driven recommendations on how to maximize the impact of a capabilityAbility to partner with business stakeholders to ensure programs and capabilities meet business objectives and needsCollaboration & CommunicationStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Analytics, Data Management, Decision Sciences, Field Excellence, Technology, and Business StakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, business termsProven ability to influence leaders and align diverse teams around program goals and objectivesIndustry & Domain KnowledgeExperience working with commercial data sets in Bio / Pharmaceutical industry (e.G. sales, CRM, Patient Hub data, Field Force Effectiveness metrics)Strong understanding of Bio / Pharmaceutical field force effectiveness, commercial operations processes, and customer engagement modelsUnderstanding of compliance and privacy considerations in delivering field-facing insightsLeadership & Other QualificationsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proactive mindsetDemonstrated ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovationDemonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams to a common goal and shared sense of accountabilityWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
