Role Overview
The International Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing international group travel programs end-to-end. The role requires strong vendor negotiation, itinerary designing, on-ground group handling expertise, and coordination with schools, internal teams, and global partners to ensure smooth and enriching travel experiences for students and educators.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute international group tours for students and teachers.
- Create detailed itineraries, costing sheets, and travel proposals in coordination with sales and product teams.
- Liaise with destination management companies (DMCs), hotels, transport providers, and airlines for rates, bookings, and service confirmations.
- Ensure end-to-end operational excellence—visa processing, travel insurance, forex, and logistics.
- Manage on-ground tour operations, escort groups if needed, and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
- Handle vendor negotiations, ensure best pricing without compromising service quality.
- Coordinate closely with academic team, trip leaders, and school authorities for smooth departures.
- Monitor feedback from groups and initiate post-tour analysis for process improvement.
- Maintain a strong network of international suppliers and build long-term partnerships.
- Prepare and manage budget reports, P&L for trips, and MIS updates for management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism / Hospitality / Management (MBA preferred).5–10 years of experience in international travel operations, preferably in student travel / MICE / group travel.In-depth knowledge of international destinations, airlines, and group travel logistics.Strong command over costing, vendor negotiations, and itinerary planning.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills.Hands-on experience in MS Excel, costing tools, and travel CRM systems.Willingness to travel internationally as required.Skills : international operations,travel,group travel
