About the Role :
Mental Health, Justice Health, Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHADS) provides health services directly and through partnerships with community organisations. The services provided range from prevention and treatment to recovery and maintenance and harm minimisation. The participation of the people who use the service, including families and carers, is encouraged in all aspects of service planning and delivery. The Division works in partnership with a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
This position sits within the Adult Acute Mental Health Services (AAMHS), specifically in the Adult Mental Health Unit (AMHU). AAMHS includes several key areas, the AMHU, which is a 40-bed inpatient unit supporting individuals with moderate to severe mental illness. The Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU), a 6-bed low dependency unit located in the Emergency Department for short term assessment and treatment. The 12B Mental Health Unit, a 10-bed low dependency unit; and the Neurostimulation Therapy Suite (NTS), which provides specialised therapies.
As the Rostering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting nursing staff across these inpatient units. Reporting to the Administration Manager for Adult Inpatient Mental Health Services, you will assist the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) for Rostering and Recruitment with daily staffing needs. Your responsibilities will include managing nurse rosters and performing related administrative tasks. This role contributes to the delivery of high-quality customer service for both consumers and staff within the AAMHS.
