Position : APS3 Service Support Officer

Location : Mount Gravatt QLD, Lismore NSW, Hobart TAS, Melbourne VIC and Elizabeth SA

Start date : As soon as possible

Duration : Approximate 12-month contract with potential to extend

Pay rate : $39.00 - $45.00 per hour plus 12% superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking motivated APS3 Service Support Officers to join a Federal Government agency to provide frontline customer service and administrative assistance within a mental health and wellbeing service environment. You’ll play an important role in supporting multidisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth service delivery for clients, and being the first point of contact for those accessing care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver high quality customer service to clients, visitors, and stakeholders in person, over the phone, and via email.

Provide administrative support to clinical and operational staff, including appointment management and records management.

Assist with the coordination of regional events, programs, and community-based initiatives.

Manage correspondence, invoices, travel arrangements, and general office operations.

Support reporting, data entry, and quality assurance activities.

Uphold policies and standards relating to Workplace Diversity, Occupational Health & Safety, and APS Values.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will demonstrate :

Experience providing business operations or administrative support within a health service and / or government environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and efficient manner.

A client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People registration or Working with Children Check (depending on jurisdiction).

Must be an Australian citizen.

Willingness to undergo a pre-engagement screening check and obtain / maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
