Job description

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties

  • Undertake research and prepare high level policy advice on work health and safety and workers rehabilitation and compensation, and other issues of relevance to WorkSafe Tasmania.
  • Develop and implement work health and safety and other policy or legislative initiatives, in accordance with the relevant WorkSafe Tasmania and Departmental strategic and business plans.
  • Respond to complex enquiries from a range of individuals and organisations and liaise with stakeholders to assist in the identification of emerging issues.
  • Prepare high quality documentation, working papers, reports, briefings and correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competence and training of the occupant.

Desirable Requirements

  • A degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
