CJK Group is seeking a full-time corporate attorney to assist and employer the CJK legal team in enabling the company’s mission to grow and enhance CJK Group and its affiliated business units supporting the print, content services, automotive and technology industries.
The corporate attorney role would report to the Chief Legal Officer of CJK and collaborate extensively with CJK legal team and business leaders across the CJK platform. This is a high impact role on a collaborative team at an innovative company built upon an entrepreneurial spirt.
The Position
The corporate attorney role would support corporate activities for CJK Group legal entities globally. Principal tasks include taking a lead role on contract drafting and administration, including a lead role in developing and maintaining the contract management solution for CJK. The corporate attorney function would collaborate with multiple organizations to structure and manage parts of the contracting process, including drafting, organizing, updating and maintaining contracts. Specific tasks include :
- Monitor and support legal contract intake process
- Assist the legal and sales team with responding to prospective customer proposals
- Develop and maintain the company’s master contract framework, including consolidating multiple business-unit MSAs into a single, enterprise-level Master Service Agreement structure that supports multiple divisions and services under standardized Statement of Work (SOW) formats.
- Draft and update standard templates (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, NDAs, Licensing Agreements) to reflect company-wide terms, modern legal standards, and practical flexibility for business unit–specific requirements.
- Ensure internal consistency across all contracts while allowing SOWs to accommodate variations in scope, deliverables, pricing, and service models.
- Provide legal guidance to business units during negotiations when nonstandard clauses, risk allocation, or regulatory concerns arise.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, data protection, and information security requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and ISO 27001–aligned commitments.
- Draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related privacy or security exhibits with customers and subcontractors.
- Review and refine licensing and intellectual property clauses to ensure clear ownership and permissible use of content, technology, or data deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, IT, Business Development, Finance, and Operations) to align legal terms with operational realities and risk appetite.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting service contracts, IP licensing, and AI / data usage, updating templates and guidance accordingly.
- Train business units and contract administrators on standard contracting procedures, escalation protocols, and risk-flagging best practices.
- Manage external counsel as needed for specialized jurisdictions, complex disputes, or regulatory inquiries.
- Upload fully executed contracts to contracts database and tag key provisions of contracts for search functionality
- Maintain accurate contract records, version control, and renewal schedules.
- Respond to routine corporate customer requests under existing template agreements
- Summarize existing and new agreements support and / or lead negotiations for contract renewals
- Track and manage contract deliverables, deadlines, and obligations.
- Maintain centralized contract databases or CRM systems.
- Prepare standard template sales agreements, and help streamline the contacting process
- Conduct due diligence and contract review in connection with acquisitions.
- Supporting the CJK legal team and CLO.
Minimum Qualification : Licensed Attorney with excellent academic credentials. Minimum 5 to 10 years of practicing legal experience supporting operations for U.S. companies. Experience with U.S. corporate, commercial law and / or contract laws is a plus. Knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulatory frameworks highly preferred. Strong contract law knowledge and drafting basic commercial agreement skills is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and the ability to track large numbers of documents and projects using technology solutions, with preference for past experience with Monday.Com, Ironclad and Contractworks. Reliable attention to detail and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle internal clients professionally. Excellent people skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment with high ethical standards.
