Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team at Xshore. In this role, you will manage end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for U.S.-based real estate investment funds. You'll oversee complex financial operations including accounts payable, reconciliations, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This position also provides opportunities to mentor junior accountants and contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for multiple real estate investment funds.
- Oversee invoice processing, accounts payable, and vendor payments.
- Perform regular bank and vendor reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Use accounting software such as Yardi, RealPage, and SAP for financial data management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
- Support recruitment, training, and mentoring of junior accountants.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).Minimum 3+ years of experience in fund or property accounting, with strong exposure to real estate.Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, RealPage, or SAP.Strong expertise in accounts payable, invoice processing, and reconciliations.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to resolve discrepancies.Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.Effective communication skills (written and verbal) for working with internal and external stakeholders.Proven leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage.Business acumen with the ability to drive efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes.Skills Required
