Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
PLM PLM Consultant / Teamcenter Administrator
to manage and enhance our Siemens Teamcenter environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of system administration, user support, and vendor coordination to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our PLM platform. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, IT, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Administer and maintain Siemens Teamcenter in a Windows Server environment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security roles to ensure proper access control.
- Monitor system performance, health, and integrations with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and updates in coordination with Siemens and IT security teams.
User Support & Training
Serve as the primary point of contact for Teamcenter-related technical issues.Troubleshoot and resolve application or user issues, escalating to Siemens support as required.Develop and deliver user training, guides, and documentation to drive adoption and efficiency.Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate directly with Siemens support for incident management, proactive maintenance, and roadmap planning.Support vendor and supplier integrations to ensure seamless data exchange and compatibility.Partner with engineering, IT, and business teams to align Teamcenter capabilities with organizational objectives.Provide input on PLM strategy, licensing, and integration planning.Process & Data Governance
Ensure Teamcenter remains the single source of truth for engineering data, software, firmware, and documentation.Maintain compliance with audit, security, and industry standards.Implement and promote best practices in data management, workflow design, and lifecycle management.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.7+ years of hands-on experience in Teamcenter administration.Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.Familiarity with CAD integrations (SolidWorks, OrCAD, NX) and version compatibility requirements.Proven experience in end-user support, documentation, and training.Ability to work independently while managing vendor escalations and cross-functional communication.Nice To Have
Experience with Teamcenter upgrades and migration projects (legacy to supported releases).Understanding of PLM workflows, lifecycle management, and engineering change processes.Knowledge of database administration (Oracle / SQL Server) for Teamcenter.Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation.
